I have used an ophthalmologist in Manhattan for over 45 years, even though I have resided in Westchester County for the last 37 years. Upon receiving the diagnosis from that doctor that I needed to have cataract surgery, it was now time to seek an ophthalmologist outside of the city, closer to my home.
After doing online research and referral calls, I happened upon Dr. Lauren Schneider and I could not be more pleased. I have had surgery completed on both eyes with multi-focal lenses and I am no longer using glasses – PERIOD! I am ecstatic at being able to see both distance and close up as I work with numbers and briefing papers every day – all without glasses! Dr. Schneider is a true professional. Her explanation of the surgery process and post-op was clear and concise. Her follow-up was both timely and compassionate. Most important to me, at the very beginning she was very patient in taking her time to explain the choices one has with this type of surgery and in responding to my questions. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Schneider for cataract surgery and as one’s ophthalmologist.
