I had cataract surgery in both eyes and now I no longer need glasses or contacts!! From beginning to end Dr. Schneider and the staff at both Stamford Ophthalmology and Wilton eye surgery were excellent! This is the one surgery you will love getting.

I recently moved to Stamford from New York, and shortly after moving, my puppy accidentally scratched my eye one morning. I was really nervous, especially being new to the area, so I went to urgent care, where the physician recommended Dr. Lauren Schneider and they were able to get me in for a same-day appointment. When I arrived, Georgina, the ophthalmic technician, immediately made me feel so comfortable. I was overwhelmed about my eye when I was brought back, and she was incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring. Then I met Dr. Schneider, and I immediately understood why she came so highly recommended. She was extremely knowledgeable and direct, but also had such a comforting bedside manner. I trusted her right away and felt completely confident in her care. She explained everything clearly and made sure I had a follow-up appointment the following week to check on my eye. As I was leaving that appointment, Georgina checked in with me to see how I was feeling and if I felt a little less overwhelmed. I genuinely did, and the fact that she asked meant so much to me. When I returned for my follow-up appointment, I had another wonderful experience. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and what started as a really stressful situation ended up being such a positive experience. Moving to a new town can be overwhelming, and I’m genuinely so grateful to have found Dr. Schneider and her team. I would absolutely recommend them!
Great doctor Dr. Schneider she is very sweet very professional and wonderful treats you with excellent care she is very concerned about your well being gives you a thorough check up and follow up. Her staff is wonderful very knowledgeable and sweet always make you feel welcome and very helpful and supportive love this office 100%.I highly recommend it if you need a great eye surgeon come here.
