On May 14th, 2025, i had a horrible accident at home in which both my eyes were burn, after being admitted to Bridgeport Hospital burn unit for days, i was seen by Dr Schneider in which she rapidly medicated the situation, i am so very grateful that with the help of my higher power and Dr Schneider my vision will be recovered. Stamford Opthalmology as a whole has been a wonderful and smooth experience for me. I am 75, a retired diplomat from India and have experienced eye care in many countries of my posting. I rate Stamford Opthalmology as simply one of the best. The front office is very polite and efficient and their shop has been providing me with excellent prescription and reading glasses. I would like to make a special mention of my young and brilliant doctor, Dr. Lauren Schneider. She has nurtured my aging eyes for the last ten years with utmost dedication. She has performed cataract surgeries in both my eyes most successfully and has always shown utmost concern in making sure that all my optical needs are met and doubts clarified. I consider myself lucky and rest peaceful knowing that my crucial vision health is in very safe hands. I wish Dr. Schneider and her team continued success.

I highly recommend Dr. Schneider. She performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes and provided exceptional care throughout the entire process. Her expertise and reassuring demeanor helped ease my concerns and guided me in making informed decisions. After the procedure, she followed up diligently to ensure my recovery was on track. If you’re considering cataract surgery, Dr. Schneider is an excellent choice.

I know people can have negative experiences, and they leave negative reviews about them, but I have to say my experience with Stamford Opthalmology could not have been better. Front desk staff was friendly and patient, I waited five minutes before being called in for my appointment; Dr. Sherwood was personable, thorough, listened to my problem, suggested several treatments and couldn’t have been nicer. The entire visit was exemplary and I will be returning as needed to Stamford Opthalmology. I can’t imagine a better place for eye care?!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Pribis in December and was impressed with her attentiveness and professionalism. She took the time to understand my eye history (I’ve had glasses and contacts since elementary school) and in doing so, it was evident that she is very passionate about her job. Dr. Pribis is also very personable. I was more than happy under her care and I will be going to her for annual appointments from now on.

I am a patient of Dr. Eizabeth Siderides. When I moved from NY to Conn., a family friend had recommended her. This past December I had cataract surgery on both of my eyes, within a week of each other. Dr. Siderides was exceptional during all stages of the process. Thorough exams and explanations were given at every stage by Dr. Siderides and her medical support staff. The surgery on each eye was a complete success and my vision has not been this good since I was a teenager. I highly recommend Dr. Siderides and Stamford Ophthalmology.

Dr. Lauren Schneider is one of the most outstanding specialists to whom I entrust my care. She is intelligent, highly skilled, warm and accessible, and always a pleasure to deal with; she makes one feel as though he or she is the only patient with whom she is dealing, answering all questions and concerns both patiently and clearly. Specifically, she successfully cured my severe myopia/astigmatism (of about 60 years’ standing!) via painless and uneventful cataract surgery 3.5 years ago, after which I still am enjoying perfect vision!!! Every examination before and since that event has been careful, solicitous and informative. Also, the support staff deserve a shout-out for being polite, professional, friendly, and accommodating. I can’t recommend this doctor, and this practice, strongly enough.

I am so pleased with the results from cataract surgery which was performed by Dr. Schneider. I was very apprehensive about the surgery and Dr. Schneider was extremely helpful…she answered all my questions (which were many) and was so conscientious with the measurements that I am the envy of my friends who have also had cataract surgeries…from different doctors. I strongly recommend Dr. Scheider for her professional, kind, meticulous, and amiable manner.

I have used an ophthalmologist in Manhattan for over 45 years, even though I have resided in Westchester County for the last 37 years. Upon receiving the diagnosis from that doctor that I needed to have cataract surgery, it was now time to seek an ophthalmologist outside of the city, closer to my home. After doing online research and referral calls, I happened upon Dr. Lauren Schneider and I could not be more pleased. I have had surgery completed on both eyes with multi-focal lenses and I am no longer using glasses – PERIOD! I am ecstatic at being able to see both distance and close up as I work with numbers and briefing papers every day – all without glasses! Dr. Schneider is a true professional. Her explanation of the surgery process and post-op was clear and concise. Her follow-up was both timely and compassionate. Most important to me, at the very beginning she was very patient in taking her time to explain the choices one has with this type of surgery and in responding to my questions. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Schneider for cataract surgery and as one’s ophthalmologist.
